"Onironauta" is a painfully beautiful approach to the Republic of Cuba. The face of the afro-cuban poet Omar reflects on humanity.
As he wanders through Havana, he reminisces about farewells, memory, patriotism, and censorship. His mythical poetry takes us through a dimension in which past, present, and dream interweave into an immersive journey. The poetry of the local, Omar, combined with the observational 16 mm images of Cuban everyday life, create a deep feeling of the complexity of life on an isolated island, the feeling of mortality and the fear of a human of being invisible.
